Newz66 PhotoGraphixa – a unique exhibition and platform for photographers, makeup artistes, photo editors and photo designers of all genres, types and categories will kick off on Gandhi Jayanti – 2^nd October in Mumbai. About 100-odd photographers and several others from the trade have already confirmed their participation.

 

Speaking to media persons in Mumbai, Flynn Remedios, editor and publisher, Newz66.com and president of the organizing committee of Newz66 PhotoGraphixa said, “Newz66 PhotoGraphixa is not just a photo exhibition, or a contest. It is an experience for photographers, models, art galleries and the like. Photographers will have to convey a message in their exhibits and will have to submit two images. The first image will have to be raw or unedited and the second image would have to be edited as per the creative conscience of the photographer. The idea is to encourage and bring together amateur photographers on a common platform and promote creative photography in India. The popular Reality Show on Colors – Bigg Boss is in its sixth season and has seen a lot of ups and downs over the last 5 years. But this one takes the cake. Actress and model Kavita Radheshyam who turned down an offer to participate in Bigg Boss Season 6 has made some really startling revelations and disclosures. Speaking to a TV channel on Saturday, Kavita Radheshyam said, “Bigg Boss offered me big bucks to fake a relationship or love affair with a married man on the show. Further, I was asked to flirt with Rajeev Paul whose ex-wife Delnaz is also on the show. I was told that I would be paid a huge sum of money, if I could initially flirt with Rajeev Paul causing fights or discord in the house. Later on, I would have to try and bring the estranged couple together and get them to sort of kiss and make up on the show – even if it was temporarily. It would have been my task to get Rajeev Paul and his ex-wife Delnaz to reconcile their differences and maybe even consider a re-marriage. Rajeev Paul and Delnaz are divorced after a long, bitter fight, so the question of bringing them together seems very remote.  I found it a very stupid suggestion. I know that reality shows are partly scripted, but this suggestion coming from a senior Endemol executive – Endemol owns the IPR to the Bigg Boss format – even before I could sign the contract or a confidentiality agreement was really perverse.”  Sushant, an Endemol executive kept calling and messaging me several times almost begging me to join the show, Kavita revealed to Newz88, adding that she was given to understand that Sushant was a very senior executive from the Endemol creative team.

Speaking to Newz88, Kavita Radheshaym also hinted that a senior Endemol executive had tried to act fresh with her and even suggested the casting couch if she wanted more money.

Hitting out at Bigg Boss, Kavita Radheshyam while speaking about her interview told Newz88, “None of the former Bigg Boss participants or inmates have made it big in Bollywood. If one checks out the current resumes of the participants of the last 5 seasons, it is very evident that almost none of the participants have really gone far. Forget about the participants, even the winners have not made any quantum leaps in their filmi career. Kashmera Shah, Shweta Tiwari and some others were anyway working in the industry before they entered the Bigg Boss house. But those who were not doing much are still struggling where they are. To name a few – German model Claudia Ciesla who was linked with Salman Khan and entered the Bigg Boss house amid much fanfare hasn’t gone far in the last 3 years. Similarly, Ashutosh – the winner of the second season or Season 2 is not doing much. Anupama Verma, Aryan Vaid, Payal Rohatgi, Ashutosh, Raja Chaudhary, Rohit Verma and several others may be doing some work, but their career has not got a kick start with Bigg Boss. In fact, many former participants have sunk to lower levels in terms of a film or modeling career after their stints with Bigg Boss. The reasons for this is quite simple. A candidate who goes into Bigg Boss gets a false air or sense of superiority and hikes his or her professional fees several times over. After the initial hullabaloo and publicity has died down, event organizers, producers and TV channels do not want to touch the former participants with their inflated egos and hiked rates and drop them like hot potatoes. They try to tap the latest Reality Show participants. As a result many of them are actually out of work. By the time the reality of the Reality Show business strikes in, it’s too late for the candidate who has over-priced himself or herself and is out of the reckoning for most production houses and event companies. I would consider Bigg Boss a dent on one’s film career instead of a boost,” Kavita Radheshyam told Newz88.

Gehana Vasisth is diabetic, suffers from low blood pressure and is innocent, says publicist

Gehana Vasisth who was arrested on Saturday morning by the Pune police from her residence at Oshiwara near Lokhandwala in suburban Mumbai will be produced in the Shivaji Nagar Magistrate’s holiday court on Sunday as the courts are closed due to the three consecutive public holidays.  She has been taken to a local hospital first for a medical checkup. The police have to produce an accused before a magistrate or court within 24 hours of arrest. Gehana Vasisth is suffering from low blood sugar and is a diabetic. She also has low blood pressure and is under treatment for various ailments, her spokesperson Flynn Remedios informed. She was hospitalized last week and hence was not able to attend the police station.

Her publicist said that Gehana Vasisth was innocent and the alleged photo shoot was not done by her. The photos were uploaded by her former publicist Hemanta Dasgupta, against whom she has already filed a police complaint. The alleged flag photo was shot by some friends in Chhattisgarh last year while on a holiday. The photos were never made public by Gehana Vasisth, but when she fell out with her former PR, all hell broke loose. He also released some unedited so-called nude photos.

“We will file a bail application immediately, said Remedios, adding that the police should focus on more important things and arrest rapists and eve-teasers instead of arresting a model who unknowingly has become the focus of all media attention. Gehana Vasisth is a 21-year-old who does not know the law and the legal provisions. I told her to apply for anticipatory bail, but she kept saying that she had done no wrong. She is an engineer by qualification and has worked in the information technology sector before becoming a model. She has done 8 films in the last two years including Daal Mein Kuch Kala Hein, featuring Veena Malik which released recently and Kaanch by Kalpana Lajmi which is yet to release. Gehana Vasisth has featured in about 10 music videos till date. She is a hard-working model who like anybody else does aspire for name and fame, but is really naive about the law, said Remedios.

Gehana Vasisth was made a scapegoat by some unscrupulous criminal elements who got hold of some unedited video footage and then demanded Rs 50,000/- from her to keep the video footage under wraps. When she refused to pay them, they passed on the unedited video to some media person, Remedios claimed defending his client.

 

 

 

Model Gehana Vasisth arrested by Pune Police in flag controversy case

Controversial model Gehana Vasisth was arrested today morning by the Pune police from her residence at Oshiwara near Lokhandwala in suburban Mumbai and taken to the Deccan Gymkhana Police Station where an FIR has been registered against her for insulting the national flag.

The Deccan Gymkhana police will produce her in a local magistrate’s court for remand on Sunday morning before the holiday court, said Sr Inspector of Deccan Gymkhana police station Manohar Joshi. It is not sure if the offences or sections applied are bailable at the time of filing this report and there is a possiblility that Gehana Vasisht may have to spend at least 3 days in police custody as Sunday and Monday are public holidays. The bail formalities could take more time, it is learnt. Rajesh Singh, Gehana Vasisth’s manager said that they will apply for bail immediately as she has absolutely no criminal record and this case has been registered under pressure from a political party.

The Deccan Gymkhana – Pune city police had procured a warrant for the arrest of Gehana Vasisth, after the latter absconded and did not attend the police station in spite of summons being issued to her for her appearance.

This is the first time a model has been arrested for a controversial photo shoot. While Poonam Pandey and Sherlyn Chopra have been releasing their nude photos almost every week, no action has been taken against them.

For the last three weeks, Gehana Vasisth has been running from the long arm of the  law and police claim that they are very close to arresting her. “She had promised to surrender at the police station on 6th August and had requested for two days time as she was shooting, however, since she failed to surrender, we have sent a team to Mumbai to arrest her,” Senior Inspector Manohar Joshi of the Deccan Gymkhana police station had told the media on Friday.

A political outfit had filed a complaint against Gehena Vasisth for insulting the National Flag and National Honor.

Gehana Vasisth has been in the news recently for her sensational nude shoots. First she went nude to protest against the potholes and bad roads in Mumbai. Bollywood actress Gehana Vasisth who recently posed in the nude amidst a lot of controversy has been signed on by RVV Films Intenational – a Chennai based Film production house which is producing a remake of the Sunny Leone – Pooja Bhatt starer Jism 2. Says producer Raju V Vijay, “I saw some of Gehana Vasisth nude photos on the internet and I knew I had found the actress I was looking for my film. I immediately contacted her through her manager and have signed her on for the film. The paper work is ready and I will meet Gehana Vasisth next week to complete the legal formalities.

The as-yet unnamed film is a remake of Jism 2 and Gehana Vasisth plays a high-class, jet-setting call girl who is roped in by an intelligence agency to nab an international terrorist. All hell breaks loose as she falls in love with the terrorist and becomes a double agent, almost betraying the intelligence officers.  Producer Raju V Vijay who has produced and released almost ten Tamil films till date confirmed that there will be some very steamy love-making scenes in the movies. “It is not a remake of Jism, but goes far ahead of Jism in terms of maturity and love scenes. There are about 15 love making scenes in the 2.5 hour movie,” he revealed.

Dare-to-bare controversial model Gehana Vasisth who recently stripped nude for a cause to support Indian sports persons was approached by an event organizer of one of the larger Dahi Handi Mahotsavs or Mandals in Mumbai late on Wednesday night to do an impromptu strip tease and to strip to her inner wear or a bikini for a whooping compensation of Rs 20 lakhs. According to our sources there is a lot of secret rivalry and Dahi Handi Mahotsav organisers in Mumbai (like Ganesh Mandals) are competing with each other to be the biggest and most popular Dahi Handi Mahotsav in the city. To add to their woes, many news Tv channels have begun “charging” them for coverage and will only cover those Mandals who “pay” them for coverage or mileage.

To add spice to the event and hype up their own Mandal, one organizer approached Gehana Vasisth’s secretary Rajesh Singh with an innovative idea – Gehana Vasisth would be invited for the event as a celebrity. There as the rhythm picked up, she would “suddenly get into the mood and start stripping as the Govindas successfully reached higher and higher. For every level reached, Gehana Vasisth would remove one piece of her garments in full public view. And as and when the Handi was broken, Gehana Vasisth would take it all off just down to her bare necessities or inner wear in the presence of a TV news channel camera and popping flash bulbs. Overnight, the Mandal and Gehana Vasisth would be instant celebrities all over India. While this entire stunt was pre-planned, it would have to be executed as though Gehana Vasisth did it on her own free will and in the spirit of the moment.

And the price tag – hold your breath folks – Gehana Vasisth was offered a whopping Rs 20 lakh for an approximate ten minute live strip tease in front of hundreds of cheering Govindas and one Tv channel – which was promised exclusivity – and whose TRPs would soar through the roof when this footage was aired. We have learnt that one national TV channel was also part of this plan and the Rs 20 lakh would have been partly contributed by that particular Tv channel for exclusive rights to the footage. We have also learnt that 3 more item girls or strippers were also approached with similar publicity stunt strategies. It remains to be seen which drama queen pulls off which stunt this season.

Gehana Vasisth was unavailable for comment, but her secretary Rajesh Singh officially confirmed that he did get such a request from a Dahi Handi Mandal. When we asked him if Gehana Vasisth or he (on her behalf) had accepted the tempting Rs 20 lakh offer, he quipped, “Wait for one day and you will know. Time will tell.” When queried about which TV channel was associated with the event, he promptly replied, “The TV channel that blanks out this expose is obviously the channel.”
